Drawings from Cuenca, Spain 2011
size of drawings: 14/21.6 sm
Materials: acrylic paint, pencils, newspapers
Technique: drawing
In this work my focus was on the human body and the diversity of representations. I have started this work with a drawing of a woman and with each later work this same body is presented in a different way. When viewed together we can see they are drawings of the same person in the same position, but we start to notice all carry a different emotion and feeling. Through different techniques and materials I am presenting the same position of the same person and that is visible when all the pieces are put together. Once each drawing is separated from the others it becomes only lines and splotches. It no longer exists as a body of a certain person and loses its content.
